The foundations Ekayana builds on
While the member directory fills, this is the open infrastructure the platform runs on and bridges to. These are technologies, not organizations: none of the projects below is a member, a partner, or an endorser of Ekayana. The first member institutions will be listed here as onboarding completes.

Member types you will see here
Every listed organization will carry one of four member types. Benefits, the joining process, and the annual schedule live under membership and fees.
- Institutional Member
- A single organization using Ekayana infrastructure directly: a university, repository, library, archive, or company registering identifiers for its own outputs.
- Consortium Lead
- A lead organization coordinating a shared membership for a group, such as a national network or shared platform. The lead holds the membership.
- Consortium Organization
- An organization participating through a consortium. It pays no membership fee of its own, but appears here in its own right.
- Supporting Member
- An organization that funds the mission and participates in governance without using the infrastructure directly.
What appearing here means
A directory entry is a matter of public record, so it is worth being clear about what it does and does not signify.
A public commitment
Appearing here is a statement of intent: your organization stands behind open, community governed research infrastructure, persistent did:bio identifiers, content addressed storage, and GDPR compliant data sovereignty for the records you steward.
A seat in governance
Members govern the infrastructure rather than buy it. Every paid membership carries voting rights and steering group participation, so the organizations listed here shape the roadmap, the fee schedule, and the policies that keep the registry neutral.
A discoverable presence
As the community grows, this page becomes a searchable directory of organization name, member type, and country. Integrators and repository platforms are listed separately as Registered Service Providers.
